More than a body's work' digital video installation, (2005, video, audio, production: June Bianchi; text, audio, performance: Carol Cooke; audio: Derek Pierce, Tom Cooke, Beautiful North; participants : New York & UK. Commissioned for Arc Arts Centre & Arts Council More than a body's work'digital video installation comprises a screen of 40 T shirts, printed with participants' faces, with a digital video projection featuring film and images of young people discussing image and identity. It explores the role of visual codes and signifiers in expressing personal and social identity, encouraging audiences to engage with both visual qualities and meanings across diverse social and cultural groups. More than a body's work was generated through a series of collaborative text & image arts events, led by June Bianchi and collaborator, writer Carol Cooke, in New York and UK. The installation features artwork created by June Bianchi, poetry written and performed by Carol Cooke with audio by a range of musicians. Exhibited at the Arc Arts Centre & Psyche Gallery, 2005; the Study Gallery of Modern Art, Poole, 2006; Link Gallery, Winchester, 2007.
