Greenwood's map is scaled at eight inches to the mile, covers London and surroundings and stretches out to Earls Court in the West, to the River Lea and Greenwich in the East, Highgate to the North and to the South, Camberwell

How it works. Use the links above to move around this resource. 'The Map' will show you the whole map in miniature. Select a map panel to display it at a larger size to check your whereabouts, and then again to display it at the 'viewing sizes' (300 or 500 kilobyte files). Move around the map using the controls provided to reach adjoining sheets
