Nightlife
In the country of Crete there are many locations where young people can party hard. For example: Malia, however the province of Rethymno has many nightclubs and some say they are better than those in Malia as they are surrounded by restaurants which serve the traditional Greek specialities.
There are 4 night clubs and a number of bars within the old town which is a short walk to the beach. The nightclubs are called: Envy, Ice club, Fortezza and Hard Rock Cafe. Some of the bars are called, Figaro's, Metropolis and Hard Rock.
The bars and the clubs play a variety of music from R'n'B beats to dance tunes. During the summer holidays all the clubs and bars tend to play the big club beats however you may find some which play Greek music of the R'n'B genre.
Rethymno is one of the best places to stay if you are planning to visit Crete for a holiday and you want a holiday which is full of a drinking and dancing.
